About The Position

Villatel Orlando Resort is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Rooms Controller to oversee and optimize the allocation of our vacation rentals and Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between various departments, including Guest Experience, Revenue, Reservations, and Operations, to maintain optimal occupancy and guest satisfaction

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in a Rooms Controller or similar role within the hospitality or vacation rental industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficient in using property management systems and inventory management tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize occupancy and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Rooms Inventory Management:
  • Oversee the Tape Chart/Rooms Inventory for all Villatel properties.
  • Open and close units as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date availability.
  • Block and organize units efficiently to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Coordination with Departments:
  • Work closely with Guest Services to address guest needs and requests, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue team to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
  • Partner with the Reservations team to manage bookings and special requests.
  • Coordinate with Operations (Housekeeping & Maintenance) to ensure units are ready for guest arrivals, and service and maintenance requests are handled promptly.
  • Property Allocation:
  • Allocate and assign units based on guest preferences, availability, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and adjust allocations to respond to changing demand patterns and operational needs.
  • Handle all allocations for Group and Wholesale Reservations
  • Operational Support:
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance and service requests to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on guests.
  • Communicate effectively with the Operations team to ensure smooth turnover of units.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate and analyze reports on occupancy, unit allocation, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve property allocation and maximize guest satisfaction.
