About The Position

This placement opportunity is designed for individuals seeking comprehensive experience within the Rooms Division of a luxury hotel. The program includes an initial orientation to the company and local community, followed by hands-on experience in various Front Office operations. Interns will support core functions, focusing on guest service, operational coordination, and advanced learning in areas such as Rooms Controller and service recovery. The program aims to develop essential operational skills and enhance guest experience while aligning with The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary ministerially recognized academic institution in the hospitality industry OR have a hospitality degree and at least 1 year of recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside of the USA) OR have 5 years recent relevant work experience in the (ultra) luxury hotel industry (outside the USA)

Responsibilities

  • Receive orientation to the company and local community, including learning about company customers and culture.
  • Meet key team members and receive computer training on company systems.
  • Participate in on-site training before opening and assist the division team in preparing for the soft/grand opening.
  • Support core Front Office operations, focusing on foundational guest service functions within Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Services Coordinator, and related Rooms Division roles.
  • Develop essential operational skills while delivering service in alignment with The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.
  • Continue Front Office responsibilities with increased focus on guest experience enhancement and operational coordination.
  • Train in Front Desk, Guest Services Coordinator, Concierge, Spa Concierge, and Housekeeping Coordination functions as business levels allow.
  • Participate in advanced Front Office functions, including Rooms Controller exposure, service recovery support, and developmental observation of supervisory coordination tasks.
  • Apply accumulated knowledge to support operational decision-making without assuming team leadership responsibilities.
