About The Position

Serves meals to guests in their rooms by performing various duties related to order taking, delivery, and guest service. This role involves interacting with guests, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas. The position requires adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as a commitment to providing excellent guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age, as required by law.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License in order to drive a company vehicle (if 21 years of age+).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work varied hours to include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work well as an individual and as a member of a team with a goal of providing outstanding guest service.
  • Ability to answer a multi-line phone and properly record and deliver guest orders.
  • Ability to maintain proper sanitation, safety procedures, and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Ability to follow all policies and procedures outlined by Management and the employee handbook.
  • Ability to observe any questionable activities and act as an extension of the security department.

  • MICROS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Takes room service orders over the telephone and relays orders to the kitchen.
  • Carries all food and beverage items in to-go bags or uses a serving cart to transport orders to rooms.
  • Answers questions regarding room service and responds to requests for additional food or drink service.
  • Provides quality products, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere for all guests.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures.
  • Checks all stations and supplies for cleanliness.
  • Stocks necessary supplies and set-ups.
  • Describes specials to guests and takes food orders over the phone.
  • Accurately records room number, guest name, and number of guests to be served.
  • Delivers orders for food and beverages to guest rooms.
  • Operates MICROS Computer System.
  • Orders, checks, and sets up amenities and follows procedures for their delivery and logging.
  • Completes all end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Maintains proper sanitation, safety procedures, and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Follows all policies and procedures outlined by Management and the employee handbook.
  • Assumes all responsibilities as delegated by the Manager and performs other duties to fulfill guest needs and requests.
  • Attends all mandatory meetings.
  • Acts as an extension of the security department in protecting the assets of the hotel and all guests by observing any questionable activities.
  • Drives company vehicle to deliver amenities to guests outside of the immediate hotel/tower building (if 21 years of age+).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
