About The Position

Serves meals to guests in their rooms by performing various duties related to order taking, food and beverage delivery, and guest service. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age, as required by law.
Must have a Valid Driver's License in order to drive a company vehicle (if 21 years of age+).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to work well as an individual and as a member of a team.
Ability to answer a multi-line phone and properly record and deliver guest orders.
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

MICROS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Takes room service orders over the telephone and relays them to the kitchen.
Transports food and beverage items to guest rooms using serving carts or to-go bags.
Answers guest questions regarding room service and responds to requests for additional items.
Provides quality products, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere.
Performs opening and closing procedures for the room service area.
Checks stations and supplies for cleanliness.
Stocks necessary supplies and sets up serving areas.
Describes specials to guests and takes food orders over the phone.
Accurately records room numbers, guest names, and the number of guests to be served.
Delivers food and beverage orders to guest rooms.
Operates the MICROS Computer System.
Orders, checks, and sets up amenities, and follows procedures for their delivery and logging.
Completes all end-of-shift paperwork.
Maintains proper sanitation, safety procedures, and cleanliness in work areas.
Follows all policies and procedures outlined by management and the employee handbook.
Assumes responsibilities delegated by the Manager and performs other duties to fulfill guest needs.
Attends all mandatory meetings.
Acts as an extension of the security department by observing questionable activities to protect hotel assets and guests.
Understands and abides by the environmental practices of the resort.
Drives a company vehicle to deliver amenities to guests outside of the immediate hotel/tower building (if 21 years of age+).
Performs other duties as assigned.
