About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining and adhering to all resort service standards and expectations, including prioritizing tasks, attention to detail in mise en place and table setups, and working collaboratively as part of a team. The position requires knowledge of point-of-sale systems, basic computer skills, and obtaining a RAMP certificate. Responsibilities include maintaining and caring for department assets, adhering to the sequence of service for an in-room dining experience, staying updated on menu knowledge and allergy awareness, and assisting with guest requests using the RMS system (sevenrooms/Host) to create personalized experiences. Excellent communication and phone etiquette are essential, as is the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in high-volume situations while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing, attendance, and guest interactions. The role also involves maintaining a luxury mini-bar amenity, handling cash and tender transactions, and possessing knowledge of all food and beverage menus and resort information. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • POS – point of sales – knowledge
  • Basic computer (pc) knowledge & usage
  • Friendly and out-going personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time, use stairs if necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license & comfortable driving a company vehicle responsibly adhering to state driving regulations.
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Customer service experience preferred; room service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including but not limited to holidays, weekends, evenings, early mornings & overnight shifts.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest service role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain & adhere to all resort service standards & expectations.
  • Prioritize tasks & have a keen eye for detail, including but not limited to mise en place, table setups, checklists.
  • Work & communicate as part of a cohesive team.
  • Obtain & maintain a RAMP certificate through the state of PA.
  • Maintain & care for department assets, including but not limited to serviceware, tables, room service vehicle.
  • Adhere to SOS – sequence of service – for an in room dining experience, meeting all standards.
  • Stay up to date on menu knowledge & allergy awareness.
  • Assist with guest requests from guest profiles in our RMS – sevenrooms/Host, including but not limited to contact information, preferences, information to create real life magic (anniversies, birthdays, personal preferences, etc).
  • Prioritize multiple tasks & maintain collective & genuine in high volume situations.
  • Adhere to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions.
  • Maintain a luxury mini bar amenity, including a variety of high-end retail food & beverage items.
  • Adhere to cash handling & proper tender transactions.
  • Knowledge of menus for all food & beverage operations, in additional to general & accurate resort information.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
