About The Position

Room service cashiers are the contact persons between the guest and the kitchen. They will support by effectively describing the menu items and making recommendations to enhance the guests dining experience. The cashier will ensure all of the information obtained in addition to the guests order is provided to the kitchen in detail to ensure the guests satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have exceptional customer service experience, professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Basic math skills to process payments
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication and solid English language skills
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Talent for multitasking

Nice To Haves

  • Previous restaurant/cashiering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the safety effort by personal example
  • Support full hotel compliance with safety rules to further our goal of zero (0) accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses
  • Adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to assure guest satisfaction and consistencies to our customers
  • Immediately report all injuries to the supervisor or manager on duty and to the security manager on duty
  • Provide excellent guest service by answering the telephone, recording food orders and processing all types of payments.
  • Responsible for promoting, upselling and suggesting menu items to hotel guests.
  • Communicate guest’s requests and preferences to the kitchen or bar to fulfill.
  • Other duties as assigned.
