About The Position
This is a union, non-management and non-full time position. The Room Service Busperson is responsible for assisting with the delivery of food and beverages to guest rooms, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of service areas. This role involves lifting food trays and plates, pushing and pulling tables and chairs, retrieving tables from guest floors, and clearing, cleaning, and setting up tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and silverware in an unobtrusive manner.
Requirements
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language, to include effectively communicating with internal and external guests.
- Minimum one year experience in a bar/lounge/restaurant and/or in Room Service.
- Ability to cope with stress and work in a high volume operation.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends & holidays.
- Internal candidates must be free of active discipline.
- High school education or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lifting food trays and plates weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling tables and chairs.
- Retrieving tables from guest floors in an organized and accurate manner.
- Clearing, cleaning, and setting up tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and silverware in an unobtrusive manner.
