About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring guest rooms meet high standards of cleanliness and appearance. The Room Inspector will perform cleaning duties, manage room supplies, and assist in inspecting rooms and other areas to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. The position also involves responding to guest requests and assisting other staff members.

Requirements

  • Ability to extend arms over head, bend and stoop.
  • Ability to lift bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push and pull a vacuum.
  • Ability to push a heavy cart.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning agents.
  • Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Ability to respond to guest requests, concerns and problems.
  • Compliance with attendance rules.
  • Availability to work on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inspecting cleaned guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house.
  • Knowledge of accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations.
  • Experience assisting with special requests and issuance of supplies to staff.
  • Experience logging items into the Lost & Found log.

Responsibilities

  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  • Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
  • Assist in the inspection of cleaned guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Assists with assignments of special requests, issuance of supplies to staff and logs items into the Lost & Found log as needed.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
