About The Position
In Room Dining Server position at The Omaha Marriott Downtown, you will be responsible for delivering menu items directly to our guest’s rooms in a professional and timely manner ensuring total satisfaction. Located in the heart of downtown Omaha, this upscale hotel offers world-class hospitality to guests and is ranked one of the leading hotels in the city. Requirements
- Knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards, no previous experience required.
- In-depth understanding of beverages and wines.
- Familiarity with all menu items and their accompaniments and ability to memorize and promote menu items effectively.
- Proficient in English for customer communication and understanding product instructions.
- Capable of lifting and transporting up to 50lbs.
- Knowledge of room service operations, staffing, and guest relations.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills to maintain service standards.
- Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
- TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required.
Responsibilities
- Learn all menu items in food and beverage outlets and the proper garnishments to execute proper plate set-up.
- Prepare trays and deliver to rooms.
- Maintain complete guest satisfaction by maintaining Marriott service standards.
- Check floors to be sure all trays and carts are retrieved.
- Prepare and deliver guest amenities.
- Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of Room Service area along with personal hygiene.
