About The Position

The Room Attendant cleans, restocks, and maintains assigned hotel rooms to provide high-touch housekeeping service for each guest stay. The role includes preparing rooms to hotel standards, handling laundry as needed, reporting maintenance needs and suspicious activity, and safeguarding guest privacy and found belongings.

• Be able to perform routine, repetitive work that may involve strenuous physical exertion, including moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive a list of assigned rooms from the manager and prioritize rooms requesting early cleaning.
• Check the cleaning-cart inventory and add necessary supplies.
• Knock and announce oneself before entering a room; return later if the room is occupied.
• Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets, and replace them with fresh items.
• Make beds neatly and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policy.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policies.
• Wipe room surfaces and clean mirrors.
• Vacuum floors and remove trash.
• Check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletries according to the hotel checklist and policy.
• Conduct a final room inspection to ensure the room meets hotel standards.
• Notify the supervisor when rooms are available and report suspicious activity to security.
• Ensure soiled linens are laundered as needed, including loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels in the laundry room.
• Notify the maintenance department of required maintenance or repairs.
• Take found items to the designated lost-and-found area if the guest has checked out.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
