Room Attendant - Housekeeping (FT)
About The Position
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are clean, neat, and sanitary. The role also includes cleaning lobbies, elevators, hallways, and other hotel facilities. The position requires adherence to housekeeping procedures and resort policies, prompt responses to communications, attentive guest service, and cooperation with other departments. Work is physical and fast-paced, with daily start and end times determined by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper; shifts conclude when all assignments are completed. Native American preference applies. Applicants must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment. Duties may include other reasonable related responsibilities assigned by a supervisor or resort management to meet department or business needs.
Requirements
- Some housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Positive, upbeat attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Follow procedures in the Housekeeping Training Manual.
- Become familiar with the complex and outlying areas.
- Maintain communication with the housekeeping office and other departments.
- Provide exceptional guest service through the resort’s Wow, Go & Please strategy and offer guests assistance.
- Keep pagers, radios, and keys secure, and return them at the end of the shift.
- Respond immediately to calls received via pager, radio, headset, or in-house phone.
- Report unusual circumstances, including damage and illegal situations, to a supervisor or the appropriate department.
- Maintain equipment, such as carts, in good condition.
- Participate in the resort’s green program by reducing, reusing, and recycling.
- Contribute to a teamwork atmosphere with a positive attitude and high energy.
- Complete assigned work and follow resort policies and procedures.
- Follow grooming and dress standards in the employee handbook.
- Understand and comply with the resort’s environmental practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
