Room Attendant - Housekeeping (PT)

About The Position

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are clean, neat, and sanitary. The position also includes cleaning lobbies, elevators, hallways, and other hotel facilities. The attendant follows resort procedures and policies, maintains communication with the housekeeping office and other departments, and provides exceptional guest service. The work is physically intense and fast-paced, with start times scheduled and shifts concluding when assignments are complete, as determined by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements

Positive, upbeat attitude.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, balancing, and occasional crawling.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, including linens, liquids, cartons or boxes, and push carts.

Nice To Haves

Some housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow procedures detailed in the Housekeeping Training Manual.
Become familiar with the complex and outlying areas.
Maintain communications with the housekeeping office and all other departments.
Provide exceptional guest service through the Wow, Go & Please strategy.
Keep pagers, radios, and keys safe and secure, and return them at the end of the shift.
Respond immediately to calls received via pager, radio, headset, or in-house phone.
Report unusual circumstances, including damage and illegal situations, to a supervisor or the appropriate department.
Offer assistance to guests.
Maintain equipment, such as carts, in good condition.
Participate in the resort's green program by reducing, reusing, and recycling.
Promote teamwork, a positive attitude, and high energy while on the job.
Complete all assignments requested.
Follow resort policies and procedures and the grooming and dress standards in the employee handbook.
Understand and abide by the resort's environmental practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
