About The Position

This position is responsible for responding promptly to guest requests and maintaining cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public areas. The role involves preparing and stocking carts, cleaning rooms according to procedures, replacing linens and amenities, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, and performing floor care duties. Additionally, the Room Attendant must adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols. A key aspect of the role is providing excellent guest service, anticipating needs, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests, including those with disabilities. The position requires physical stamina for tasks such as lifting, pushing carts, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Ability to respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
  • Ability to fill carts with supplies and transport carts to assigned areas.
  • Ability to enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
  • Ability to replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
  • Ability to replace dirty linens and terry with clean items.
  • Ability to make beds and fold terry.
  • Ability to clean bathrooms.
  • Ability to remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
  • Ability to check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
  • Ability to straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
  • Ability to dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
  • Ability to vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).
  • Ability to follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Ability to complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ability to properly store flammable materials.
  • Ability to ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
