Rivet House is a thoughtfully designed boutique hotel in Athens, Georgia. With 50 rooms and a close-knit team, we are committed to delivering a personalized guest experience rooted in warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. Every role at Rivet House contributes to creating a stay that feels both elevated and welcoming. The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are clean, comfortable, and reflective of Rivet House standards. This role is essential to the guest experience and requires a strong attention to detail, consistency, and a service-oriented mindset.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Clear communication skills and a guest-first mindset
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Flexible availability required, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and kneeling
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40–50 pounds
- Ability to navigate stairs and move throughout the property
Nice To Haves
- Basic familiarity with workplace technology (email, messaging) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms to brand standards, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and presentation
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing
- Strip and remake beds; replenish linens, towels, and guest amenities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas including hallways and restrooms
- Keep housekeeping carts, storage areas, and closets clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Handle guest and hotel property with care and professionalism
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- Report maintenance issues, damages, and safety concerns to the appropriate team members
- Follow all cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and operational standards
- Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information
- Complete additional duties as assigned by Housekeeping leadership
