About The Position

Room Attendants provide high-quality customer service and promote guest satisfaction by maintaining clean rooms and responding to guest needs. They clean rooms according to Housekeeping Guidelines and established standards, inspect room equipment and maintenance needs, and complete daily housekeeping and supply tasks. The role also includes maintaining carts, linen areas, vacuum cleaners, and public areas; operating laundry equipment; following safety and emergency procedures; and wearing the required uniform. Employees may perform other duties as assigned that they are capable of performing.

Requirements

Ability to move luggage, packages, or furniture weighing up to 40 pounds.
Knowledge of emergency procedures.
Ability to follow safety standards and uniform requirements.
Ability to operate laundry equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality service to customers and support guest satisfaction through room cleanliness and attention to guest needs.
Clean rooms each day according to Housekeeping Guidelines and established standards.
Check fixtures, televisions, radios, and heating and cooling equipment for proper operation, and set heating and cooling equipment and radios to proper settings.
Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report service requests.
Perform general daily cleaning and change bedspreads, blankets, mattress pads, and shower curtains as assigned.
Log cleaned rooms on the daily housekeeping report.
Fold terry and linen while waiting for rooms.
Clean, organize, and restock carts at the end of the day, including terry, cups, toilet paper, rags, and filled spray bottles.
Deliver the supply basket to laundry for restocking.
Maintain the cleanliness of carts, linen rooms, and vacuum cleaners.
Turn in the key and room status report to the Guest Room Supervisor or front desk.
Operate laundry equipment and maintain public area cleanliness.
Wear the proper uniform in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.
Know and follow emergency procedures and practice safety standards.
Move luggage, packages, or furniture weighing up to 40 pounds.
Perform other duties as assigned that the employee is capable of performing.
