This role is for a Seasonal Room Attendant, contributing to an immaculate housekeeping experience by cleaning, servicing, and maintaining all guest accommodations to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted, and insurable Florida Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Able to comprehend, read, write, and speak basic English, including understanding workplace policies, job instructions, departmental procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with guests and hoteliers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, and handle objects and equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review assigned rooms from the manager and prioritize early cleaning requests.
  • Securely transport carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens.
  • Service assigned guest rooms, ensuring compliance with elevated expectations and Leading Quality Assurance standards (LQA).
  • Empty trash containers, vacuum floors, remove dirty linens and replace with clean ones.
  • Clean bathrooms, including mirrors, vanities, sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and floors.
  • Check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies according to hotel checklists and policies.
  • Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets, and provide fresh replacements.
  • Handle guest items with care and attention to detail.
  • Respectfully announce presence before entering guest rooms for cleaning or other services.
  • Transport room service trays and items from guest hallways to the appropriate location.
  • Maintain good relations and communicate effectively with all hotel departments, including Front Office, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage, to coordinate room implementation and cleaning schedules.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Wear appropriate clothing, uniform, and PPE for cleaning tasks.
  • Inspect furniture for dust, debris, and damage, and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Realign furniture according to the floor plan.
  • Inspect, dust, and clean various room elements including picture frames, mirrors, fire extinguishers, exit signs, air vents, windows, baseboards, phones, TVs, drapes, doors, planters, lamps, light fixtures, and light switches.
  • Polish all brass surfaces to a high gloss.
  • Ensure rooms meet hotel standards with a final walkaround.
  • Notify the maintenance department of any needed repairs.
  • Ensure the security of guest room access and hotel property.
  • Check for guest property left in rooms after checkout and turn over lost and found items to the supervisor.
  • Ensure completion of all assigned duties and restocking of carts at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain personal appearance and hygiene standards that reflect a professional image.
