The Room Attendant is responsible for thoroughly cleaning assigned guest rooms, ensuring that all linens are changed daily, and inspecting and replacing bedspreads, blankets, and mattress pads as needed. This role involves reporting any damage or repair needs to the supervisor, handling guest belongings left in rooms, and managing all keys used during the shift. The Room Attendant also maintains housekeeping carts, prepares rollaways and cribs, and completes daily reports. A key aspect of this role is the responsible use and knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment, including safe handling and storage of chemicals. Additionally, the Room Attendant may assist with cleaning public areas, regularly depositing soiled linen, scrubbing and sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash, and replenishing room amenities and stationery. The position requires meeting housekeeping cleaning standards, maintaining efficient cleaning times, and upholding a positive attitude when interacting with guests and co-workers, while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
