The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand time, product and placement standards to ensure total guest satisfaction. The RA delivers on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards. They respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. The role involves cleaning and servicing assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash. This may include cleaning the kitchen area, room refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and dishware. The RA notifies the supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied and reports any room unable to be serviced to the supervisor. When assigned to laundry, the RA monitors laundry supplies and equipment, operates washers and dryers according to hotel standards, receives soiled linens, inspects for damaged or stained items, and folds and stores clean linens. The role also involves minimizing waste of supplies and amenities, assisting with deep cleaning projects, reporting needed repairs or unsafe conditions, handling lost and found items, promoting teamwork, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.
