About The Position

As a Room Attendant, you will ensure that our rooms and suites are always fresh and welcoming for our guests. You will create a haven for them to escape and relax in, or get some last-minute work done. You will make sure our rooms are always at their best, meeting our standards and making each room special and memorable for guests. You will also be happy to assist guests with requests and provide directions. You will keep your supervisor updated on room service progress and alert them to any repairs needed. Safety is paramount, so you will follow established safety procedures and wear protective equipment when needed. Organization is key to keeping on top of supplies and amenities, and minimizing waste. You will reunite lost items with their owners and log any lost and found property. You will wear your uniform with pride and be ready for other ad-hoc duties when the team needs to pull together to get a task done. You will monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimize waste, and report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures. You will work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service. You may regularly assist with deep cleaning projects and may have turndown duties. You may also assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Physical role requiring fitness as you will be on your feet most of the day.
  • Strength to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and/or push/pull heavy objects.
  • Ability to bend and kneel to complete some activities.
  • Literacy skills including reading, writing, and basic math skills.
  • Flexible attitude to shifts, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
  • May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.

  • May assist with other duties as assigned.
