About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Roofing Site Surveyor to support our Commercial and Residential Roofing Divisions. This position plays a critical role in the estimating and project planning process by gathering accurate field measurements, documenting existing roof conditions, and collecting the information needed to prepare repair, maintenance, and replacement proposals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, traveling to job sites, and utilizing technology to collect and organize data.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, cameras, and cloud-based software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to travel to various project locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or technical education preferred but not required.
  • Prior roofing, construction, surveying, estimating, inspection, or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct roof site assessments at commercial and residential properties.
  • Measure roof dimensions, slopes, penetrations, and other roof components.
  • Take detailed photographs of roof conditions, damage, and site-specific conditions.
  • Perform roof core samples when required to identify existing roof systems.
  • Document roof obstructions, safety concerns, and other relevant project information.
  • Prepare accurate field notes and ensure all collected data is complete.
  • Verify measurements and observations before leaving each job site.
  • Upload photos, measurements, reports, and related documentation into company software systems.
  • Coordinate with estimating, operations, sales, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain professional interactions with customers, property managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
