Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales experience required
  • Experience prospecting, cold calling, generating leads, or developing new business is strongly preferred
  • Construction background preferred
  • Roofing experience is a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Sales Driven: At least 1 year of sales experience required. Proven experience prospecting, cold calling, generating leads, or developing new business is strongly preferred.
  • Hunter Mentality: Self-motivated, persistent, and energized by finding new opportunities. Comfortable hearing "no," overcoming objections, and continuing to pursue new business.
  • Strong Communicator: Speaks clearly and confidently, asks good questions, listens well, and builds trust with customers.
  • Coachable Learner: Roofing experience is not required. Eager to learn roof inspections, roofing systems, and commercial roofing solutions through hands-on training and mentorship.
  • Customer Focused: Connects easily with customers, adapts to different personalities, and focuses on solving problems.
  • Computer Skills: Comfortable using a CRM and familiar with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Active: Able to carry, set up, and climb ladders and perform roof assessments safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience prospecting, cold calling, generating leads, or developing new business is strongly preferred
  • Construction background preferred
  • Roofing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, door-to-door prospecting, networking, and relationship-building, as well as process and follow up on company-provided leads for commercial property owners and managers
  • Sell commercial roofing services, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and restoration systems.
  • Meet with commercial clients, identify roofing concerns, and recommend solutions that fit their needs.
  • Work directly with the owner to learn how to perform roof assessments, identify issues, and develop roofing recommendations.
  • Learn and sell Conklin's commercial roofing systems, including American-made restoration systems with long-term warranties.
  • Gather project details, develop proposals, present solutions, and close sales.
  • Manage client relationships through ongoing communication and follow-up.
  • Travel locally (within 50 miles) and spend most of your time meeting with customers.
