Requirements

Previous roofing labour experience
Willingness to learn commercial roofing systems (TPO experience considered an asset)
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
Valid Working at Heights Certification
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices (Ontario safety standards an asset)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites
Strong teamwork attitude and ability to take direction

A valid G driver’s license

Responsibilities

Assist roofing crews in the installation and replacement of commercial roofing systems, including TPO systems
Support the installation of vapour barriers and insulation on flat roof decks
Help prepare job sites, including loading materials, setting up equipment, and cleaning up
Carry and move roofing materials and tools safely across the worksite
Support tear-off, repair, and re-roofing activities under supervision
Operate basic roofing tools and equipment as directed
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe, clean work environment
Work collaboratively with journeypersons and other crew members
