Our Home Building Group is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team at the Wakarusa I facility in Wakarusa, IN. POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled Shingler to join our team, responsible for installing roofs using various materials. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and durability of roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, particularly in roofing, and be familiar with the use of both hand and power tools.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in asphalt shingle roofing.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Install shingles according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Inspect roofs for damage and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
  • Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.
  • Serve as a good steward for our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping your assigned area clean, and orderly.
  • Assist your Team Leader and Area Manager to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
  • Meet all attendance requirements, available for start of shift at required time, following the attendance rules and regulations of the division.
