JB Roofing, a Tecta America commercial roofing company, was established in 1970 and has built its business and reputation on doing what’s right for customers, within the expected timeframe, and with lasting quality. With over 80 employees and a management team possessing over 100 years of experience, JB Roofing is currently searching for Commercial Roofing Laborers at its Akron, OH location. The role involves installing and repairing roofs using commercial roofing systems such as BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and slope (tile/shingles). The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team, outdoors in extreme weather conditions, and to perform physically demanding tasks.
Requirements
- 1 year of commercial roofing experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Able to pass pre employment background check and drug screen
- Authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Install and repair roofs with the use of commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).
- Able to work well in a team setting
- Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
- Able to lift 50+ lbs with repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling.
- Comfortable with climbing a ladder up to 60ft and being on a roof
- Perform work to manufacturer's specifications with close attention to safety
