About The Position

Flynn Group of Companies is hiring apprentice- and journeyman-level commercial roofers through union Local No. 96. Roofers work collaboratively as a crew to waterproof buildings and install, repair, or replace commercial single-ply roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, and PVC. The work includes fully adhered and mechanically fastened applications and may take place at various jobsites as needed. Roofers may also assist in the shop or other departments.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with commercial roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM, and built-up roofing.
• Ability to install most roofing components, including insulation, membrane, corners, and pipes.
• Reliable transportation or a personal motor vehicle.
• Ability to learn and follow safety policies and standards.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a background check and work on federal job sites.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial roofing systems, including fully adhered and mechanically fastened TPO, PVC, EPDM, and other applications.
• Prepare roof decks, lay out membrane, and install insulation, pipe boots, and other roofing components.
• Follow safety rules and procedures and participate in required safety classes and certifications.
• Use fall protection equipment and wear PPE when working at heights.
• Travel to and work at various jobsites as needed.
• Assist in the shop or in other departments as needed.
