About The Position

This role is responsible for building roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities. The builder must be able to read cut sheets and blueprints to ensure trusses meet approved standards regulated by the NTA. Key responsibilities include checking parts on assigned tables/presses for proper setup, ensuring correct nail placement and overhang, meeting production requirements while maintaining quality, and working effectively with a partner. The role also requires the ability to repeatedly lift over 50 pounds and operate a hydraulic press. The ideal candidate demonstrates honesty, integrity, a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and models teamwork.

Requirements

• Ability to read a cut sheet and blueprint.
• Ability to check parts on assigned table/press for proper setup of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.
• Ability to ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Ability to meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.
• Ability to repeatedly lift over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a hydraulic press.
• Ability to work well with a partner.
