About The Position

The Roof Truss Builder is responsible for constructing roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities. This role requires the ability to read and interpret cut sheets and blueprints to ensure trusses meet NTA-regulated standards. The builder will set up jigs, cords, and parts, ensuring proper nail placement, overhang, and king post on each unit produced. The position demands meeting production goals while maintaining high quality, with the ability to repeatedly lift over 50 pounds and operate a hydraulic press. Success in this role also depends on working effectively with a partner, demonstrating honesty, integrity, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.
• Read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet approved standards regulated by the NTA.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.
• Repeatedly lift over 50 pounds.
• Operate a hydraulic press.
• Work well with a partner.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity.
• Has a strong work ethic.
• Displays a great attitude and models teamwork.
