About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property inspection services in collaboration with insurance agencies. The company offers nationwide claims inspections, including catastrophe response and direct inspections.

As a Roof Field Inspector, you will work as an independent contractor conducting inspections of steep and high roofs, evaluating exterior and interior damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. Inspectors use technology to assess property damage and help prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, particularly steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when working with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Lidar-equipped device or the ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or newer.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
