The Certified Peer Support Worker provides non-clinical, evidence-based peer support to members with mental health and substance use conditions who need intensive wellness support and recovery-oriented interventions. It encourages community inclusion and engagement with health services, peer and family supports, and social networks. The worker uses lived experience strategically to foster hope and empowerment, advocates for needed services, educates providers and families about recovery principles, coordinates with care teams, and documents interactions according to company standards.
