About The Position

Hancock Claims Consultants provides ladder-assist and property inspection services to insurance agencies. Roof Field Inspectors work as independent contractors conducting inspections of steep and high roofs, assessing exterior and interior damage, and performing underwriting property inspections. They use technology to help evaluate property damage and prevent further harm until permanent repairs are completed. The role requires safe roof access, inspection work in varied weather conditions, professionalism, attention to detail, customer service, and empathy when working with insureds.

Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate and inspect any type of roof, especially steep and high roofs.
• Technical ability to complete inspections in varied weather conditions.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy when dealing with insureds.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
• Reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting and carrying at least a 32-foot ladder.
• Lidar-equipped device or ability to obtain one, such as an iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro or greater.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to obtain any certifications or credentials required to join the contractor pool.

Nice To Haves

• Roofing or construction-related background and/or insurance claims experience.
• HAAG Certification.
