About The Position

We are looking for a Roof Bartender who celebrates culture, humor, wit, thoughtful and attentive service and team orientation. The ideal candidate will strive to continuously evolve and improve their performance in order to provide a Four Diamond Level of service for all guests each and every day.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training
  • TIPS and ServSafe Certified
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
  • Frequent climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Be flexible since this is a 24/7 hotel operation
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of hotel management software and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
  • Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
  • Follows set-up procedures.
  • Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
  • Greets guests.
  • Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to guests - mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food servers.
  • Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
  • Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
  • Cleans and lock ups the bar area according to procedures.
  • Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions as required.
  • Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures.
  • Provide attentive and exceptional service to each customer and develop client base.
  • Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the manager.
