About The Position

The Bethesdan Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is looking for a personable and friendly Part time Roof Top Pool Bartender to join our team for the upcoming pool season. The ideal candidate delivers memorable moments and hospitality to our guests and comes with extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service. In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • 2 years previous experience bartender preferably in a similar setting with a working knowledge of Sprits, Wine, Beer and Food service.
  • Flexible – Must be able to work, midday shift Weekends and holiday’s
  • Friendly – Must be able to deliver a fun, professional, friendly environment during each guest exchange.
  • Energetic – Must be able to work within an empowered and fast pace environment that services the bar and servers within the our Roof Top Pool. Give Upbeat team spirit with gracious service for internal/external guests.
  • Knowledge – County Specific Food Handlers Certification, State specific alcohol certification and TIP’s Certification required.
  • Must have proficient command of the English language.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to stand for long periods at time
  • Knowledgeable of credit card and cash handling procedures, as well as recording accurate tip-out sheets, and calculating accurate bill amounts.

Responsibilities

  • Outstanding Customer Service to every guest.
  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  • Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
