Rolling Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Haydon, Kerk and Pittman are three world class AMETEK brands that supply advanced linear and rotary motion solutions to a diverse mix of global customers. We are recognized as a leading manufacturer of brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor based linear actuators, precision Acme lead screw and anti-backlash nut assemblies, linear rail and guide systems, gearmotors, drives and complete custom automation sub-systems. We are looking for the right individual to join our team on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm-6:30am), as a Rolling Operator. You will receive a 10% shift differental in addition to your base pay for working 2nd shift. This exciting role involves setting up the grinder and roller to run proven dies and new dies on a variety of machines.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED
- Strong fine motor skills
- Good math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Minimum of one year manufacturing experience
- Ability to work well within a team or independently and a demonstrated initiative to drive for results
Responsibilities
- Setting up the operating parameters for centerless grinder and thread roller
- Selecting proper equipment, grinding wheels, blades, coolants, filtration systems and rollers
- Troubleshooting and performing offsets to centerless grinder and thread roller as needed
- Utilizing the lead checker, comparator, micrometer and tri mic to check rods and parts
