Requirements

Ability to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays
Some overtime will be required
Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Basic computer skills
Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Set-up rolling mill control systems for most efficient operation from mill set-outs, and monitoring devices in an enclosed pulpit platform and correcting inappropriate deviations from tolerances
Monitor reheat furnace temperature and adjust rolling pace accordingly
Ensure that the rolling recipes and parameters are properly set up in level 2
Monitor rolling process and adjust tension control to prevent cobbles
Communicate with finishing end and adjust rolling speeds accordingly
Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
