About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Roll Mill Operator. The Roll Mill Operator will be responsible for rolling base stock material to gauge and requirements of the customer spec. This role is located in Reading, PA and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: $23.33 starting rate with a base rate progression to $25.65; after the 8 week orientation training, employee with go into the indirect production bonus and earn $4.50 + dollars per hour. Schedule: 2nd shift ($1.75 shift diff.), 3rd shift ($1.25 shift diff.) Pay Schedule: Thursday bi-weekly

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Trained and proficient in operating at least two rolling mills.
Computer / database and keyboard knowledge.
Able to read a micrometer and other quality controls.
Able to work with minimum supervison.
Industrial manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

Comply with all safety regulations while in the plant.
Review the mill card prior to process in order to understand the requirements of rolling the material.
Set up the assigned equipment and roll the material in accordance with the work instructions located at the equipment site.
Follow the advised schedule.
Complete all quality checks and to enter the required information onto the mill card.
Comply with the Quality System at all times during processing and review Quality for any non-conforming material.
