Requirements
- Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment
- Mechanical experience including: operation of high speed automatic and semi-automatic equipment
- Set up and adjustment of metal forming processes (stamping, forming, shearing) preferred
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment and ability to identify machine problems preferred
- Experience measuring parts with precision instruments including: micrometers, digital calipers, load testers, etc.
- Pass required exam of basic math and English
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates rolling mills with three progressive stands
- Works toward setting up and operating rolling mills with eight progressive stands
- Encouraged to work with Rolling Mill Operator 3 to expand Rolling Mill Knowledge
- Assists Rolling Mill Operator 1 with troubleshooting and setup as able
- Operates all testing equipment including: micrometers, hardness testers, shadowgraphs, etc.
- Provides complete, accurate documentation when required
- Participates in cross departmental work production based on business needs
- Learns and upholds defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency
