Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Mechanical experience including: operation of high speed automatic and semi-automatic equipment
  • Experience measuring parts with precision instruments including: micrometers, digital calipers, load testers, etc.
  • Pass required exam of basic math and English

Nice To Haves

  • Set up and adjustment of metal forming processes (stamping, forming, shearing) preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment and ability to identify machine problems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates 2 small flat wire machines
  • Loads wire efficiently and safely using appropriate tools
  • Operates all testing equipment including: micrometers, hardness testers, shadowgraphs, etc.
  • Completes all data entry transactions in computer for wire data and labeling.
  • Inspects wire quality throughout each step of the set up process
  • Reports problems that arise with machines, materials, jobs, or team members; and offers solutions where possible within the scope of the duties of the job
  • Prepares raw material for production with high quality and within tolerances
  • Provides complete, accurate documentation when required
  • Participates in cross departmental work production based on business needs
  • Learns and upholds defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency
