About The Position

Works under limited supervision and according to established federal & state regulations and Company prescribed work procedures and safety policies; Operates plant/packaging equipment and forklift; Performs other duties related to loading and shipping to accomplish a safe and efficient operation; Maintains good housekeeping practices; Performs any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and listening comprehension.
  • Communicate in a reasonable, logical, adult-to-adult manner.
  • Possesses a general working knowledge of computer operation and demonstrates ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Assist others with their tasks, accept coaching and decisions, and understand team goals.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • First aid, CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED).

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years experience preferred in industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in operating forklift and/or milling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of excellence through fully implementing all QEHS programs, demonstrating personal ownership and accountability, and supporting continuous improvement programs.
  • Operate all packaging equipment/systems, including Densifier and Stretch Wrapper, Pellet Mill, HVDT, and bulk railcar loading.
  • Re-run bulk bag material through rerun hoppers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of load patterns and be able to set up and load bulk rail cars and trucks (pellets and powder) as needed.
  • Ensure bulk trucks and bulk railcars are loaded properly, safely, and documented correctly.
  • Identify breakdown and equipment issues and convey these problems in a clear manner to the maintenance team.
  • Operate forklifts, street sweeper, track mobile, loader, skidsteer, man-lifts, and snowplow as needed.
  • Obtain and analyze mill samples and final product samples by following laboratory test procedures and LSTMs (i.e. sedigraph, screen, Hegman bar, Zeta meter, etc.).
  • Understand quality, role impacts, business goals, and customer requirements.
  • Accurately complete all necessary work-place exams and documentation as required.
  • May be required to instruct or assist in the instruction or training of others; take additional training as necessary; and/or assist with the installation, relocation and testing of equipment.
  • Perform general cleanup throughout the plant and the surrounding property.
  • Perform other duties and functions as needed.
