This role is crucial for supporting the Asphalt Superintendent by operating screed and paving support equipment safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will contribute to the crew's ability to deliver spec-compliant asphalt surfaces, dependable daily production, and consistent schedule performance. The company provides commercial pavement, maintenance, and proprietary winter services. They offer an intensive two-week onboarding program, including industry-specific training and training on their proprietary systems and software, meaning extensive asphalt experience is not required to start. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Operate screed and paving support equipment to protect grade, mat quality, and finished surface consistency.
  • Ensure smooth transitions, consistent grade, and proper drainage through precise operation and associated hand work.
  • Support daily paving production with fewer interruptions and better crew rhythm.
  • Manage material control to cut waste, protect yield, and keep the job moving without unnecessary stops.
  • Achieve surface quality that meets spec the first time, reducing punch work and return trips.
  • Handle equipment safely and maintain jobsite awareness around the paving train, ground crew, and changing site conditions.
  • Contribute to reliable schedule performance by maintaining steady output and crew alignment.
