Requirements

Crane Experience
Basic computer skills.
Willingness to operate all mill equipment.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Ability to meet all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Strong ability to express ideas and opinions both verbally and written in order to achieve positive outcomes.
Proven history of working well with other employees with the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Controlling operations of equipment and/or systems.
Using either control mechanisms or direct activity to operate machines and processes (not including computers or vehicles).
Inspecting equipment or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Nice To Haves

Must have or attain crane certification within one year of start date.
6 months Finishing or Roll Mill experience

Responsibilities

Safe operation of the Rolling Mill remote control crane.
Completing inspection reports along with daily operations.
Learning all positions in the mill to fill in when needed.
Assisting on product and blade changes.
Operating all mill equipment.
Initiating, leading, and upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
