Chip Mill Utility
About The Position
The Chip Mill Utility position involves performing routine cleaning duties throughout the facility, removing debris and waste materials, and operating equipment to maintain standards. This role also includes assisting with equipment inspection and preventative maintenance, adhering to all safety procedures, and performing other assigned duties. The position requires the ability to work extended hours, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, shovel, and rake. Additionally, the role involves working at heights over 80 feet, using man lifts, working in confined spaces, working outdoors, rotating shifts, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Two years of heavy equipment experience.
- Must be able to complete written and field training for loader forklift skid steer and any other equipment that may be used.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal job requirements.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Ability to climb ladders stairs scaffolding and ramps.
- Ability to stoop kneel crouch reach stand walk push pull lift grasp shovel rake and any necessary requirements to keep the area clean and safe.
- Ability to work well in high places in excess of 80 feet use man lifts and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors rotating shifts and lift 50 pounds required.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties throughout the chip mill facility.
- Remove debris and waste materials from production areas, equipment, and storage areas.
- Operate equipment to maintain standards.
- Assist with inspection and preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
