About The Position

Valiant Integrated Services is hiring a Role Play Bus Driver to operate and maintain vehicles ranging from 9-passenger vans to 44-passenger buses. The driver safely transports employees to and from work sites, completes required vehicle checks and transportation records, and complies with applicable traffic and transportation laws. When transporting passengers in the Fort Polk training area, the driver must follow JRTC EXROE. For JRTC training purposes, the driver also performs duties as a JRTC Role Player. The role routinely involves military forms and maps and frequent use of mobile radio communications. Shifts may extend up to 16 hours as required by the JRTC, and work shifts rotate between day and night as needed. The employee must be able to work all shifts and travel unaccompanied within the continental United States and foreign countries. Employment includes initial and random drug screening.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Louisiana Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
Experience as a passenger bus driver.
Ability to multitask and work independently when needed.
Ability to speak clearly and calmly using radio communication systems.
Must train and become proficient in military map reading, including deciphering and encoding locations using the Military Grid Reference System.
Must become proficient in military communications procedures, including the phonetic alphabet, call signs, pro-words, and acronyms.
Ability to be instrumented with MILES or IPDD systems in accordance with JRTC needs.
Ability to work all shifts.
Ability to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental United States and foreign countries.
Subject to initial and random drug screening while employed with Valiant.
Good physical condition, including ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for prolonged periods.
Ability to repeatedly lift heavy or bulky objects up to 50 pounds.
Must assist with passenger, baggage, and equipment loading and unloading.

Responsibilities

Safely transport employees to and from work sites.
Comply with local, state, and federal traffic and transportation laws.
Comply with JRTC EXROE when transporting passengers in and through the Fort Polk training area.
Perform duties as a JRTC Role Player when the vehicle is used for JRTC training purposes.
Use military forms and military maps as part of routine work.
Use mobile radio communications.
Assist with loading and unloading passengers, baggage, and equipment.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
