About The Position

As a Rodman at Gonzalez Strength & Associates, an LJA company, you will be responsible for transporting and setting up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey. A typical day might include receiving direction from the Party Chief, transporting and setting up instruments and equipment, clearing brush or trees away from the survey line, laying out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements, holding a prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points, measuring horizontal distances between points, and assisting with various survey equipment. A willingness to travel is also required.

Requirements

• HS Graduate or GED
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
• Must be able to lift 25lbs
• Willingness to travel

• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lay out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Hold prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measure how far different points are from each other horizontally
• Help with various pieces of survey equipment
