About The Position

Lifting Solutions is seeking a Rod Transport + Repair Unit Operator (RTR) for their Field Services team. This role involves transporting and repairing reels of endless rod for customers, providing best-in-class service. The company offers excellent training and values a high-performing team environment. Requirements

  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Valid class 3 or 1 with air brake endorsement driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Possession of valid industry training certificates or ability to take the training that includes but not limited to H2S Alive and Standard First Aid/CPR.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the oil and gas well servicing industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior oil and gas experience is considered a definite asset.
  • Well-servicing industry experience specializing in continuous rod handling is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting reels of endless rod to customers and repairing when needed.
  • Providing clients with best-in-class service.
  • Overseeing all activities during well services.
  • Performing and managing all required preventive maintenance.
  • Conducting regulatory inspections.
  • Operating the RTR service truck units and overseeing all tasks performed during well services.
  • Performing all types of continuous and/or endless rod services.
  • Properly handling continuous rod to eliminate risk exposure and ensure product integrity for downhole performance.
  • Effectively managing and controlling operating expenses for the RTR/ERW service units, doghouse, and crew truck.
  • Performing all required preventative maintenance checks, inspections, and tasks.
  • Supervising and mentoring RTR/ERW Assistants.
  • Performing work shift scheduling, training, and competency development for RTR/ERW Assistants.
  • Complying with all industry, regulatory, and company standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Demonstrating a high level of safety leadership on and off the wellsite through daily safety meetings, JSA review, hazard assessments, and safety drills.
  • Maintaining and promoting positive relationships with clients.
  • Maintaining a highly clean working environment on the client’s wellsite and in the service unit.
  • Ensuring all required paperwork is completed thoroughly, accurately, and timely.
  • Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate or eliminate workplace hazards.
