Requirements

  • Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, service manuals, specifications, drawings etc.
  • Ability in using tools (Micrometers, installation tools, torque wrenches, power tools, bore gauges) and test equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of quality control procedures
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Collect all materials and tools needed to complete the procedure.
  • Use precision tools to measure and assist in the machining of the engine block using power, manual tools and precision machining equipment.
  • Recognize the correct orientation of complex components.
  • Ensure that all engine blocks are machined to the correct value.
  • Read and set up bore gauges.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
  • Keep records of production measurements, quantities, and time.
  • Report issues, malfunction, or defective components.
  • Maintain a “Tour Ready” work environment.
