About The Position

The Rockwall Lead provides cause-driven management and operations focused on climbing under the direction of the Rockwall Coordinator. The role includes associate supervision, program development, program-area facility management and maintenance, program optimization, and fulfillment. The Rockwall Lead supports, trains, supervises, and leads the associate team in delivering excellent member service and engagement. The position also requires adherence to the YCM Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct with Youth, including completing child abuse prevention training and reporting suspected mistreatment as required.

Responsibilities

Lead adult and youth climbing at the center.
Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activities.
Help support onboarding new associates.
Foster a positive and motivating environment for families, children, and peers.
Communicate with center leadership and the Rockwall Coordinator to coordinate and communicate facility usage for assigned programs.
Ensure programs are appropriately staffed and planned.
Organize the closet and maintain an inventory of rockwall equipment.
Print class rosters for Rockwall Instructors.
Promote the team and classes.
Incorporate the Y’s character values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility and adhere to the YCM Code of Conduct.
Communicate the Y mission and objectives to the community.
Attend and actively participate in assigned meetings.
Enforce all policies and procedures.
Assist in other areas as assigned.
Follow the Code of Conduct with Youth, complete child abuse prevention training, and report suspected mistreatment in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
