About The Position

Join our team as a Robotics Service Technician! We are looking for a Robotics Service Technician to join our growing Robotics division. In this role, you’ll be the critical link between our sales team and the successful deployment of advanced robotic solutions at customer sites. You’ll work hands-on with a wide range of autonomous robots, ensuring that our products are installed, integrated, and operating smoothly in real-world environments.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field – or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Previous experience in a field technician, service technician, or installation support role in a technical industry.
  • Able to lift 40kg, be on your feet for several hours at a time.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical system setup, familiarity with basic hand tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail, computer and mechanical literacy.
  • Comfortable working independently in field environments.
  • A positive, customer-first attitude and professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • Interest in robotics and motivation to grow within a technical team.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Calm under pressure, especially in troubleshooting live installations.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as part of your role.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with robotics software (ROS/ROS2, Autonomous Robot Interface).
  • Exposure to basic programming (e.g., Python, C++).
  • Experience working with advanced Android features.
  • Understanding of control systems and sensor technologies (RGBD, LiDAR, VSLAM).

Responsibilities

  • Receive and complete training on installation and operation of autonomous cleaning, service, and delivery robots.
  • Travel to client sites for on-site installation, integration, and commissioning of autonomous robotic solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on-site.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance, including mechanical and electrical servicing, post-installation.
  • Engage with clients professionally and supportively, ensuring a high standard of customer service and system hand-off.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, issues, and resolutions.
