About The Position

Promise Robotics is launching a state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding facility in partnership with several large homebuilders in the Phoenix area. The facility uses robotic production lines for timber-based panelized construction to increase the capacity and speed of home production.

The Robotics Operator operates, monitors, and maintains advanced robotic systems used in automated manufacturing. The role helps ensure that robotic equipment runs efficiently, meets quality standards, and supports the company’s efforts to transform the construction industry. It is suited to someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable with technology, and interested in innovation.

Requirements

• Experience operating equipment in the manufacturing or construction industry.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organized, focused, and persistent, with the ability to follow plans and meet delivery dates.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with industrial robot programming, PLCs, and industrial safety systems.
• Familiarity with prefabrication or modular construction.

Responsibilities

• Review production drawings to ensure they meet the expected quality and accuracy for production.
• Operate robotic equipment and execute production cycles from end to end using the designed HMI and/or robot teach pendants, recovering from common faults as required.
• Follow, maintain, and improve operating standards in automatic and manual workstations.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet and exceed quality standards.
• Conduct quality control checks on final products and record observations for review with the R&D team.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and efficiency.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements.
• Assist in implementing product roadmap initiatives.
• Assist in developing production procedures and standards.
• Oversee maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Promote knowledge sharing among team members and departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
