About the Role The Robotics Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping customer robots running safely, reliably, and productively. This is a hands-on field role supporting a growing fleet of autonomous robotic systems. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot failures, execute repairs and upgrades, and serve as a trusted technical representative of Tutor Intelligence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking ownership. This role involves regular travel to customer sites throughout the United States. Most trips are short-duration service visits focused on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades. Technicians are generally home most weekends.

Requirements

  • Experience maintaining robotics, automation equipment, industrial machinery, AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, packaging equipment, or similar systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on robotic systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and controls-related issues
  • Execute upgrades, retrofits, and engineering changes
  • Document findings and collect data to support root cause analysis
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Remote Support teams
  • Build strong relationships with customer site personnel
  • Help improve reliability, serviceability, and customer uptime
  • Own maintenance execution across assigned sites with minimal supervision (Level III)
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations (Level III)
  • Mentor technicians and develop field best practices (Level III)
  • Create SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and service documentation (Level III)
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and internal teams (Level III)
