About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The Robotics Products and Services team within AIS and Data Center Engineering is growing in maturity, and this role provides the opportunity to be a robotics engineer and the technical lead driving the innovations being developed and deployed in the next generation data centers. AWS is seeking a Robotics Engineer to support the design, deployment, and management of advanced robotic systems at scale enabling AWS to scale our data center builds efficiently. This role involves close collaboration with external partners, contractors, and enterprise customers to bring robotics into production. As Amazon has a global presence, intermittent travel will be necessary and should be expected to be approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests. While most travel will be domestic, some international travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
  • Experience with vision language actuation models
  • Experience deploying robots into production
  • Experience shipping production code and common software practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
  • Knowledge of sensor data analytics, and machine learning (e.g. neural net, genAI training)
